Today we are going to begin a project that will last until the end of the semester. We are going to use our powers of web design and content creation to make a difference in the minds of students and staff at Camino Nuevo.. You may have noticed the big red-lettered poster I keep in my classroom.
The meaning of this poster is very powerful. It means: don't just use technology to absorb what others have written or created. We should use technology to create our own content. Find things that are important to us and the world, and raise awareness and start conversations about them.
Today you are going to create a NEW website. One that is DEDICATED to the ideas on my poster. Every time you create a new blog post for your website, it must do one of the blue-lettered tasks (raise awareness, start conversations, etc). The issues you choose to write about will be up to you. However, the issues you write about must be bigger than just things you are interested in. The issues you choose must affect people. You might choose to write a post about the Dakota Access Pipeline Protest. You might choose to write a post about pollution and climate change. Maybe you write about immigration. Again, what ever you choose to write about is up to you. I have NEVER had students do this EXACT project before, so I don' t have any really good examples for you that have been created in the past. However, I do have examples of student websites in the past. I will show you some today, and guide you through creating your new site. You will today start to do some research and begin designing your website. Please get ready for me to share my screen with you. Link to example article

The video means to me is that we use alot of technology nowadays and that we are getting smarter every year. This is a good thing because if you go on social media the pst can go viral and you can make a change by letting the world know by social media.

what the video means for me is that technology is defeating us humans. Also us humans are using our brains less and less. Technology is taking over humans. Also that in the next couple of years our brains are going to have less and less knowledge. how i can use technology to help is by using the internet wisely.

i think this all means that one day technology will overcome use and i think that we can use all this technology to make a diffrence by using it for a reference not a learning outcome because we wont benifit from it

What the video i just watch means for me is that technology and the humans are becoming smarter and smarter way more advanced. Technology is growing faster and smarter also are humans, if humans become smarter then the technology becomes more advanced.

what that video meant is that people just use technology not useful or wisely ,that later on in the years more invented stuff will make the world like trash.the world will just be technology which is kind of cool.i could use technology to make a difference by only making a website to change peoples mind and making them think how fast time is going.

What this means for me is that over time the use of internet has change from what they use to use in the past than what they use right now so many people use it.What I could do to make it change is by showing people that technology could make a big diffrence when you don't use it also by showing them how it changes minds in different ways and how you could use it less or how it could helps you learn.

What I just saw in the video makes me think that the world keeps changing every year because human beings are advancing with technology. Also, technology had been taken for granted and what used to not be used on a daily basis, is now what people mostly use on these advanced items. By using technology, you can drive change by posting something that will change the world for something better. Now, you could also start conversations with other people at different houses even around the world! This how you could use technology to make a difference because there are a lot ofterrible things in this world.

What it means to me is that technology is advancing and our knowledge is advances to the point where in 2019 our brain knowledge from years, months, and we're so close to our brain knowledge doubling every 12 hours. If the human population becomes more advanced we'll have mostly everyything done for us.

What this video means too me is that we are not realizing how much techonogoly we are using.Kids now a days are getting phones at a younger age .They are getting instagram ,and social media.Technogoly is a tool ,we dont need it,if phones werent not made kids would be outside pkaying not inside playing videos games ,being on computers and using phones .How we can change this is by making a powerful speech or powerpoint on why technology is a tool.We need to change the world by starting with ,me or you.

The video to me meant how technology is slowly and slowly becoming a bigger thing that everyone is using. Our new generation will grow up with newer and better technology. It's pretty sad to watch how technology is taking over our world. Technology can be used to find answers and to take action because many people would be able to see it since technology became a bigger thing now.

What the video means is tecknolgy is going up to a whole new level, and what that means is each year tecknolgy is rising up and it's changing to a whole new level. What I would do with tecknolgy is spread problems that are happening in our world so others could know, and fix those problems toghether, and so other could be aware on what's going on.
